It’s simple, delicious & fun to make!
Grab a shaker tin, jigger, hawthorn strainer & let’s get started:
Ingredients:
3 Fresh Lemons — cut in half & squeeze for juice — save one for peel/garnish
Simple Syrup — Make from scratch — Bring to boil 1 Cup of water & 2 Cups of Sugar — wait until dissolved over heat & then pull off to cool for a few hours. After it’s cooled, put in a bottle & into the fridge.
1 Egg — separate egg white from yolk.
Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
Scrappy’s Lemon Bitters
Optional — Cooper & Thief Barrel Aged Red Blend Wine
Luxardo Maraschino Cherries
——-
1oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.75oz Simple Syrup
.75oz Egg White
2oz Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
2 dashes of Scrappy’s Lemon Bitters
(Floater) 1oz Cooper & Thief Barrel Aged Red Blend Wine
Directions :
1. Take both pieces of the shaker tin and build your cocktail in the smaller of the two.
2. Combine the Simple Syrup, Lemon Juice, Bitters, & Egg White. Dry Shake the ingredients until you hear a slight “pop” at the seam of the shaker tin.
3. Open the shaker tin, leave mixture in smaller side & add the bourbon with ice filled to the top of the smaller tin.
4. Shake entire mixture for about 10-15 seconds, or until the shaker tin is nice & cold.
5. With a hawthorn strainer, empty the drink into a cocktail glass of your choice & then add a little bit of ice to the glass.
Optional — If there’s enough room in the glass, go ahead and pour the floater of wine on top.
Garnish with a lemon zest & maraschino cherry on top.
Hope you enjoy your new favorite cocktail!
